You can save on select flights and vacation packages to select destinations during WestJet’s Winter Getaway Sale. It looks like WestJet just matched Air Canada’s ‘The World is on Sale’ that I blogged about yesterday.
You must book by July 22, 2013 (11:59 p.m. MT) for travel from September 3, 2013 to February 13, 2014. I browsed around and the sale isn’t that great. There’s very few destinations and there’s a huge blackout period (December 17, 2013 to January 5, 2014).
Travel from: September 3, 2013 to February 13, 2014
Blackout dates from: December 17, 2013 to January 5, 2014

I’ve been very disappointed with WestJet’s seat sales lately. They used to be cheaper and superior to Air Canada. Now, it feels like they don’t try any more and just match Air Canada’s prices. WestJet’s operation costs and overhead is a lot lower the Air Canada and should be able to offer lower prices to customers. It’s no wonder WestJet is setting record profits each quarter. Their shareholders win while everyone is forced to pay high prices. I’m not the only person who thinks like this. There’s a ton of people complaining about this sale on WestJet’s Facebook page. Do you agree with me?
